Now I know why we cook good bbq
Was invited out for lunch yesterday
the strand at Williamstown[used to be a service station on the corner ]
have what you want we are paying
to start oysters kilpatric1/2 doz $16 tor $18
850 gram rib eye steak wait for it $85 yes it was cooked to my liking
it did come with a small bowl of small roast spuds
And a small bowl of beans
Sweets selection was good average $20
the sticky date pudding was about the size of an egg
red wine average $40 a bottle
All I can say think god I wasent paying :oops:
Yes I did feel a bit out shorts and tee shirt
when others had there cream pants and cravat on

Sounds like McDonald's drive thru for a happy meal would have been better value. Your experience is pretty much why I don't eat out. (And the cost)

Yeah, I don't eat out because of the cost too, and I can do far better at home for way less. When I do eat out, I always make sure it's something that I don't or hardly ever cook at home.

Just went to Lorne for the day with family $55 for a 2 burgers chips and some nuggets for the little fella.
