Great news. Rooftop could be interesting for wind factor depending on how high the walls are.

Kudos to you Beaver for taking this on.

It's a little hard for me to commit to competing at this stage, but I'd absolutely love to.

One way or another I'll be there to support it :D

Cheers!

some pretty exciting news!!!

we have been authorised to use/alter the KCBS competition rules for use at this event.
what does this mean?
Judging will be heavily based on the KCBS methods of judging, turnin and presentation ect.

some of the rule changes will be around obviously the fact that we dont have official sanctioned KCBS judges and quite possibly the # of judges judging.

this is a massive step in the right direction for australian BBQ and i look forward to running the event

This event sounds awesome! I want to come and experience this Slow BBQ Smoking style! Does the public (by this, I mean: Will I) get a chance to eat the food cooked at "The Aussie Smoke Off", and if so, what times will the public be let in to gorge ourselves? If the public (non-competitors) are going to be allowed to eat the food, will we just pay whichever team's food we want to buy? Or will there be an admission fee and then it's an "all you can eat"?
